I’m not here to tell you what to listen to. I don’t mind people hating what I like, or liking what I don’t. What I do mind is the disingenuousness (is that a word?) prevalent in so much music criticism nowadays. Like, am I the only one who reviewed “Let England Shake” who was bothered by Harvey’s vocals? Doubt it! Can’t prove this of course, and I’m probably going to make a lot of enemies here, but I think a lot of people gave her a pass simply because she’s PJ Harvey. Which is fine! But I think we have the responsibility to admit that sort of thing.

I’m probably taking you question way too seriously. Whatevs.
